The Drygiene Project
We challenged centuries of hygiene behavior: What if, in places where over 50% of the available water is contaminated, the solution to eradicating diarrhea was no longer focused on handwashing, but on introducing a new way of drying?
Partnering with Real Relief, a health innovation company, we introduced a textile innovation: microfiber towels treated with permanently bonded agents that kill 99.9% of bacteria on contact, when exposed to dirty water.
The Drygiene Project became a new, scalable hygiene model for vulnerable communities, a life-saving system where traditional methods had failed.
